Nicole Beutler will be participating in a panel on The (de)colonized Body on Stage at SPRING Festival Utrecht, alongside Marcelo Evelin, Venuri Perera and Eylül Fidan Akıncı. It is not unusual anymore to speak up about colonial pasts and present examples of occupation. But what shifts when we speak of bodies rather than nations?
Nicole will talk about one of our latest projects, ROOM IN OUR HOUSE: A close encounter between two nations in search of future stories. The project is a collaboration between Beutler (Dutch/German) and thought leader Michelle Schenandoah (Oneida/Haudenosaunee). With ROOM IN OUR HOUSE the Dutch and Haudenosaunee encounter each other again after 400 years of a unique peaceful relation in search of transformation, encouraging learning and healing.
