What an honour! This summer, we’ve been invited by the Noordbrabants Museum to present an open-air adaptation of NOW WE ARE EARTH / An Orchestra during Theaterfestival Boulevard. The performance, titled ARE WE EARTHLINGS, is part of the exhibition Human Nature, which focuses on the groundbreaking artist Magdalena Abakanowicz (1930–2017). Many of the themes in her work remain strikingly relevant today. In 1971, she attended a meeting of the Club of Rome, where she first heard about climate change. This encounter inspired her to focus on restoring the balance between humanity and nature. Tickets for ARE WE EARTHLINGS will be available from 12 June at festivalboulevard.nl.
Human Nature is part of the joint exhibition Groots, Groter, Groot, on view until August 24 at the TextielMuseum, Het Noordbrabants Museum and het Provinciehuis Noord-Brabant.
